Yerburgh Trophy
The Yerburgh Trophy is a Match play knockout competition held over 18 holes. Shots are given on the basis of the full difference in handicaps. Drawn matches are resolved on a sudden death basis from the 19th etc., with shots being taken as they come. The final is held over 36 holes.
The first prize is generously presented by Thwaites Brewery. Prizes are also given to the runner-up and the losing semi-finalists.
Entries to be made by writing name on an envelope, and putting this with the entry fee of £4 in the box outside the Secretary/General Manager's Office.

R & A Foursomes Trophy
The R & A Foursomes Trophy is a Match Play Knock-out competition played over 18 holes. Shots are given on the basis of ½ of the difference of the combined handicaps. Drawn matches are resolved on a sudden death basis from the 19th etc., with shots being taken as they come. The final is held over 36 holes.
The final is held over 36 holes. R.C. Crompton Esq. will provide the prize for the winners who will also qualify next years Daily Mail Foursomes event. A prize is also presented to the runners-up.

Charles Greenhalgh Mixed Foursomes Trophy
The Charles Greenhalgh Mixed Foursomes Trophy is a Match play knockout held over 18 holes, with a handicap limit of 36 for Ladies and 28 for Gentlemen. Shots are given on the basis of ½ of the difference of the combined handicaps. Drawn matches are resolved on a sudden death basis from the 19th etc., with shots being taken as they come. The final is held over 36 holes.
The trophy for this event was presented in memory of the late Charles Greenhalgh. The Final is held over 18 holes.
Entries to be made by writing name on an envelope, and putting this with the entry fee of £6 per team in the box outside the Secretary/General Manager's Office.

Club Stag
2009 Holder - Brian Joyce - 6 Under Par
The Club Stag is awarded to the member who returns the best FIVE cards off handicap (plus or minus C.S.S.) in the following EIGHT competitions.
- The Marwood Trophy (1st Round)
- The Jack Walker Memorial Trophy
- The Founder's Trophy
- The Captain's Day
- The Gwynne Jones Trophy
- The President's Trophy (1st Round)
- The Solario Cup (1st Round)
- The Birtwistle Trophy.
In the event of a tie, the trophy will go to the competitor whose five counting scores show the least variation from C.S.S.
Players are automatically entered into this competition, for which there is no entry fee.
The Ladies Captain's Prize Knockout
18-hole knock-out Match Play. Final over 36-holes. Handicap Limit 30. The Prize will be presented by the Captain at the Autumn Dinner.
