Winter Leagues

The Millennium Lodge will be open for drinks and light refreshments during normal playing times. Players should drop in after the 13th hole when playing a reduced round, or prior to the 11th tee when playing a full round. Competitors will receive a warm drink, which has been paid for within their league entry fee.

Format

All matches are four-ball better ball with a maximum handicap of 20.

Points

Win - 3 : Halve - 1 : Loss - 0

Duration

A match shall be played over at least 12 holes. Any match beyond that is acceptable subject to agreement as to the length of the match, and handicap allocation, by all four players.

Starting Sheet

The starting sheet shall be available on the on-line booking system 3 weeks beforehand at 11:00 am.

Please ensure that all players are aware of the time and try to be as accommodating as possible.

Cancelations

The decision to cancel a days play will be taken by a member of the Winter League Committee in consultation with the course manager. This will be available on the course line 01254 209141. Both Saturday and Sunday leagues will not be replayed. Each side will receive one point.

If any match is not played on the due date, then if one team is available they shall receive 3 points, otherwise neither side shall receive any points.

Substitutes

Only one substitute per team, per match is permitted.

Stroke Index Charts

Competitors should use the normal Stroke Index printed on the card for 18 hole matches.

If the match is being played over a shorter number of holes the following stroke indexes should be used.

Giving of Shots

Matches shall be played on the date stipulated, and the lowest handicap player shall give shots based on the following table: -

18 Holes	14 and 15 Holes	12 Holes
3/4 of the difference	2/3 of the difference	1/2 of the difference

Temporary Greens

In the event of the league having to be played on more than eight temporary greens the handicap allowance shall be ½ of difference (18 hole, 15 hole and 14 hole matches) and ¼ of difference (12 hole matches).
