Steve McGlynn of Blackburn Wins the Pleasington Antlers
Steve McGlynn edged to a one shot victory in the Pleasington Antlers and crucial in the final reckoning was the tricky short 16th hole which he birdied twice.
The Blackburn scratch player opened up with 69 to lead by three at the half-way stage before signing off with 72, one-under-par all told, which was just enough to deny Ritchie Blundell.
But the Hillside man, with rounds of 73 and 69, moved into second place in the Mitsushiba Northern Order of Merit, just 15 points behind long time leader James Robinson, from Southport & Ainsdale.

This year saw the competition played for the 29th time and produced the first ever winner from the home club.
Brogan Townend playing towards the end of the field and therefore suffering the worst of the conditions followed up her opening morning round of 70 (4 under par) with an afternoon round of 75 for a winning score of 145 (3 under par)
For the second year running Amy Boulden of Maesdu golf club had to be content with the runner-up spot with a score of 148
