Steve founded New Generation Golf and works with any level of golfer who truly wants to get better.

His Performance Coaching is a product of over 12 years of endless research and countless hours coaching to provide golfers with simple solutions to help any golfer reach their next level. This has been recognised this year with the PGA awarding Steve with their PGA Advanced Coach status.

Steve has been lucky to have worked with some of the world’s leading experts in 3D Biomechanics, short game, putting and skill acquisition. His passion for learning allows him to ask the best questions to get to know the golfer and understand exactly what they need to create an improvement plan.

This individual plan ensures the golfer has a clear vision of what they need to do to get better, how to make sure their practice time isn’t wasted and has access to OnForm, a coaching App using for feedback in-between sessions.

His experience with every level of player from complete beginner to professional players allows him to adapt his coaching to suit.

Steve has a proven track record in taking junior golfers from beginner to national level and he is part of the Lancashire County Academy Coaching team.

Steve is one of the only AimPoint Instructors in the country.

AimPoint is a Green Reading System used by World No. 1’s as well as countless PGA Tour players including Cameron Smith and Viktor Hovland.

He is a Taylormade Master Fitter and part of the Taylormade Home Pro Staff. His extensive fitting knowledge and experience grew from fitting hundreds of golfers from all over the UK working on tour trucks and at national golf shows.

Tony Wesson

Former British Junior Champion, Tony, turned professional in 1993.  He achieved his PGA Qualifications in his native South Wales before moving to coach in Germany in 1997, where he worked as Head Professional in GC Wiesensee.  Tony moved on to Spain where he spent 16 years at Golf de Andratx. Mallorca both as Head Professional and Director of Golf before coming back to the UK and forming New Generation Golf with Steve Hamer in Blackburn in 2015.

Tony is currently based at Pleasington and still loves coaching despite a busy business schedule.  He prides himself on maximising the player’s performance through simple, understandable methods as well as putting emphasis on the psychological side of sport.

Fluent in four languages, Tony likes to use his 30 years of experience home and abroad to help achieve the maximum enjoyment out of sport he has always loved.

With a clear and deep understanding of fundamentals, Stephen can explain necessary information in a concise way to suit every kind of player.

Stephen’s knowledge as a coach has been developed by continuously reinvesting into his craft to help provide the golfer with the best chance of success.  This understanding has been acknowledged and accredited from various recognised bodies within the golfing industry and is an AimPoint Certified Instructor and also a Scott Cowx Advanced Instructor.

With a passion to stay at the forefront of the coaching world, Stephen provides industry leading technology within coaching sessions such as Foresight GCQuad, HackMotionWrist Analysis and has a background in 3D Biomechanics.

As a coach, Stephen looks to bring his success for developing golfers into every coaching session and provides a platform for every golfer to reach their goals by utilising an online academy for 24/7 support.

With a continuous ambition to help golfers of varying ages and abilities, Nat aims to deliver an interactive experience that aids with technical improvement, understanding and ultimately helps you to become a better golfer in the long run.

This passion for coaching comes from his own experiences receiving regular tuition as a junior where he fast-tracked to a country level standard representing Lancashire, now his competitive background and understanding of Junior Development helps Nat deliver an outstanding ang engaging experience for Juniors in his 1:1 lessons and NGAGE Group Sessions.
