Pleasington Putter 2026 – Competition Terms & Conditions
Competition Overview
Following 43 successful years of the Pleasington Putter, the format has been updated to better reflect the evolving commitments of today’s golfers, while continuing to promote high-quality competitive golf.
The 2026 Pleasington Putter will be played as an 18-hole individual stroke play competition.
- Date: Sunday 12th July 2026
- Format: 18-hole Individual Stroke Play (Gross & Nett)
- Course: Pleasington Golf Club
The Pleasington Putter Trophy will be awarded to the player returning the lowest gross score on the day.
Prizes
- 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place – Prize Vouchers (Gross)
- Lowest Gross Score – Under 18 (excluding main prize winners)
- Lowest Gross Score – Over 50 (excluding main prize winners)
- Nett Prizes
- Hole-in-One Mementos (where applicable)
Eligibility
Entries are open to players who meet the following criteria:
- Hold a recognised WHS Handicap Index (including iGolf)
- Have a maximum Handicap Index of 9.9 at the time of entry
- Meet the eligibility requirements for female competitions as outlined below
Entry Process
- Entries will be accepted on a first come, first served basis
- Players may select their own tee time and playing partners, subject to availability
- Entries open: 1st November 2025
Rules & Administration
- The competition will be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf as approved by The R&A, together with any Local Rules in force on the day
- The decision of the Committee in all matters relating to the competition shall be final
Eligibility for Female Competition
This competition will be administered in accordance with England Golf’s current Transgender and Non-Binary Participation Policy.
Players may compete if they meet the eligibility criteria as defined within that policy at the time of the competition.
Right of Entry
Pleasington Golf Club reserves the right to refuse or cancel any entry where it is deemed necessary for the proper administration of the competition, subject to applicable legislation. Any entry fee paid will be refunded in full in such circumstances.
